Do your meals have any GMO’s (Genetically Modified Organisms)?

While we do our best to ensure that our products are GMO-FREE, they are not certified to be free of Genetically Modified Organisms.

Can I place a large order, and how do I go about doing so?

Please submit your request through our Contact Us Form, and our Sales Team will assist in connecting you with a CMM Certified Distributor and/or Retailer who can fulfill your order.

When a Chef 5 Minute Meal is cooking, are the fumes toxic?

No, not at all. The heating element emits steam (not fumes), this is caused by the increase in heat within the box and/or heating bag. Our Heating Element and Salt Water Activator are non-hazardous.

Do the meals really get that hot?

Yes. Our Patent Pending Heating Element will heat up to 195°F when steaming. Please take caution when cooking the Chef 5 Minute Meals as they will get extremely hot.

Can I use regular water to activate the Heating Element?

No. Our Heating Element can only be activated by our Salt Water Solution. This was designed in order to avoid unintentional activation of the Heating Element, such as Humidity.

Where do I see the nutritional facts?

When browsing on www.chef5minutemeals.com, each individual product page includes a section for “Nutritional Facts” and “Additional Info” which includes the ingredient list, allergy declaration, and manufacturing facility disclaimer. This information can also be located on each retail package in accordance with USDA and FDA labeling requirements.

How can your products be preservative and filler free and maintain an extended shelf-life?

In production we use an Industrial Retort; this is similar to a Pressure Cooker but much larger. The concept is to heat the product at a high temperature to eliminate any bacteria that may cause the food to spoil. We use hot water and/or steam for the heating process to reach the required sterilization cooking temperature, averaging around 250°F. The product is then held in the retort at this temperature for the duration of cooking time. Following the heating process the product is cooled down very fast and removed from the retort. This method of cooking enables the product to be sterile, and safe to remain without refrigeration for the extended shelf-life of the product.

What’s the difference between Freeze-Dried food and Chef 5 Minute Meals?

Our meals are precooked ready to eat, cold or hot, without adding boiling water to activate and rehydrate the food particles.
